Hi fans (ha!)

We have returned to La Ventana, after a 3-day excursion to the Pacific coast of Baja. We stayed in a picturesque little town called Todos Santos and surfed at a break called El Cerritos. The waves weren't stellar, but we got some rides and had a great time just being there. It is such an interesting landscape: stark, mountainous desert with giant cacti edged with the dark, fine-sand beach and perfectly clear ocean. The ocean floor glitters with gold flecks when the sun hits it right. Truly magical.

Now Jim, Alenka, and family have joined us at their place so we are enjoying catching up with them. Today is my final day in a series of kite-boarding lessons. So far the wind is light, which looks good for my lesson. I hope to be able to share stories of kite boarding after this.... We'll see.

By the way, "Go Ducks!" Big game this evening!

  1. hola jess and ryan!

so fun to be in the loop with your adventures and experiences, especially since we have been to those very same places and can really "picture" you there! thanks, jess, for including us.
kiteboarding has always sounded to me like you have a million things to try to keep track of at once ..... just think of all the brain synapses you are using/creating! caleb said he and ryan had a blast --- it is so generous of you, ryan, to invite and include him! thank you!

we watched the UO game last night with our book group, and boy oh boy was it awesome.... let's just hope those big-teeth beavs don't chew us up next weekend.

enjoying your photos and descriptions .... keep up the narratives; we are enjoying everything vicariously! it reminds me of the trip we took when we were in our early 20's and drove from here to panama ---- as well as the more recent one to baja. you're making memories you'll treasure always!

    jinny
